We are seeking a proactive and skilled General Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the completion of daily general maintenance repairs. Your expertise will help maintain decent, safe homes.
You will be required to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and to support ongoing building improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your carpentry, minor electrical/minor plumbing, and troubleshooting skills in a supported setting while contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Perform required and preventative maintenance on buildings
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Conduct repairs as needed to support building quality.
- document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Assist with facilities maintenance projects including HVAC systems, lighting upgrades, and minor structural repairs.
- Assist with maintenance team activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
- Support leadership in implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to facilities maintenance
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry/painting/minor plumbing/minor electrical maintenance or manufacturing environments with a focus on home construction
- ability to work in a small team is a plus.
- Some electrical experience including troubleshooting
- Knowledge of safety standards, and facilities upkeep best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English for transparent documentation and team collaboration.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Energetic and physically fit
