Riverbend Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Clerk for our Young General Store.

Reporting to the Store Supervisor, you'll be part of a team that helps create a positive shopping experience for our members and customers. Whether you're assisting at the till, stocking shelves, building displays, or helping customers find what they need, you'll play an important role in keeping our store welcoming, organized, and ready to serve the community.

What You Will Be Doing

- Welcome members and customers, answer questions, and provide the friendly service Riverbend Co-op is known for.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash handling and till procedures.
- Stock shelves, rotate product, check expiry dates, and ensure products are available and well-presented for our customers.
- Set up and maintain merchandising displays, promotional features, and weekly flyer programs.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, putting away products, and maintaining accurate pricing throughout the store.
- Help keep the store clean, organized, and safe for both customers and team members.
- Support inventory counts and other operational tasks that help keep the store running smoothly.
- Follow food safety, health and safety, and company procedures while contributing to a positive team environment.

What You Will Need

- A positive attitude and strong commitment to customer service.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.




- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to perform physical duties including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods (up to 50lbs).
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to meet legal requirements for selling alcohol.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
