Graphic Design and Digital Communications Specialist Part-Time (30 hours per week), Permanent Site: Waterloo (serving Waterloo Region and Guelph/Wellington) KidsAbility Foundation inspires philanthropic support to create possibilities for children, youth, and families served by KidsAbility Centre for Child Development. KidsAbility Foundation is seeking a talented Graphic Design and Digital Communications Specialist to lead the creation of compelling and engaging visual and digital experiences that elevate fundraising, donor engagement, events, and community outreach initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will play a key role in shaping how KidsAbility Foundation connects with donors, supporters, and the broader community. As the Foundation’s lead creative qualified, you will bring our stories to life through exceptional graphic design, digital content creation, video production, social media campaigns and multimedia storytelling that inspires engagement and drives impact.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing creative assets that strengthen the Foundation’s brand and advance fundraising and engagement objectives. From designing fundraising campaigns, event marketing materials,
donor impact reports, and print publications to videos, digital advertising, email campaigns and social medial content, you will create visually compelling communications that resonate with diverse audiences and build meaningful connections. As a member of the KidsAbility Foundation team, you will coordinate and optimize our digital presence through content development and website administration.
Combining creativity with strategic insight, you will leverage expertise in graphic design, social media management, search engine optimization (SEO), and analytics to drive measurable results. Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Marketing and Communications, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in graphic design, digital communications, marketing or related roles, preferably in a non-profit or purpose-driven organization Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar), Hootsuite, WordPress, and social platforms Experience creating and editing video content for digital platforms and managing websites,
designing for email marketing platforms, intranet, and social media management tools Experience monitoring and interpreting digital analytics Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles (AODA compliance) for web, video, and social media Ability to collaboratively monitor social media channels and provide event-related coverage outside of standard business hours (evenings/weekends as needed) on a scheduled or rotational basis Mission and values-driven and committed to ethical, donor-centred communications Some travel is required The ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends on an infrequent basis KidsAbility Foundation is committed to ethical, donor-centered fundraising practices and to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for staff, donors, and the community.
