Cornerstone Co-op is inviting applications for the position of Grocery Supervisor to join our Grocery team full-time in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the Assistant Food Store Manager.

What you’ll do:

- Engage with member-owners and customers to provide exceptional service and create positive Co-op experiences.
- Support the Assistant Food Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Grocery Department; including ordering, receiving, inventory management, merchandising, shrink control, and maintaining department standards.
- Provide hands-on leadership to the Grocery team by working alongside team members on the sales floor, setting clear expectations, and ensuring daily priorities and deadlines are met.
- Support team scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and engagement to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, food safety, and health and safety standards are consistently maintained throughout the department.
- Provide feedback on operational processes and support the implementation of improvements that enhance efficiency, service, and the customer experience.
- Help maintain strong merchandising and store presentation standards while supporting promotions and other departmental initiatives.
- Demonstrate behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen Cornerstone Co-op’s vision, mission, values, brand, and commitment to safety.
- Be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and opening and closing shifts on a rotational basis.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Who you are:

- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a satisfactory 5-year standard driver’s abstract.
- You can successfully complete a required pre-employment substance test.
- You are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.
- You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching while staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves.
- You are action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.
- You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to meet shared objectives.
