Job Summary

Intercultural Child & Family Centre is seeking a reliable and resourceful handyman to provide occasional maintenance, transportation, and general support at our child care locations. This flexible position would be ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, has practical repair skills, and owns a dependable truck suitable for transporting furniture, equipment, and supplies.

Responsibilities may include:

- Completing minor repairs and general maintenance
- Assembling, installing, moving, or removing furniture and equipment
- Picking up purchases from Facebook Marketplace and local businesses
- Transporting materials and supplies between ICFC locations
- Assisting with pickups from YEG Edmonton International Airport and other locations
- Supporting room setups, relocations, and small improvement projects
- Safely loading, unloading, securing and transporting items
- Communicating clearly about availability, costs, and project progress

Qualifications:

- Experience with general repairs, maintenance, construction, or handyman work




- Access to a reliable truck and appropriate equipment for securing loads
- Valid driver’s licence, vehicle registration, and insurance
- Dependable, punctual, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Able to safely lift and move furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Comfortable working respectfully within a diverse child care environment
- Willing to provide references
- A satisfactory criminal record check may be required

Hours will vary according to the organization’s needs. Some assignments may be arranged on short notice, depending on availability. Compensation will be discussed based on experience, the type of work required, and the use of the successful applicant’s vehicle.

Pay: $100.00-$500.00 per month
