Head of Projects, Modular The Head of Projects, reporting to the VP Construction Services, provides leadership and oversight for the successful delivery of Modular projects across North America. This role is responsible for establishing project management standards, leading the project management team, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality expectations. Working closely with Sales, Design, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams, the Head of Projects drives consistent project execution, effective resource planning, and continuous improvement to support client satisfaction and business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Portfolio Leadership & Execution

- Lead the successful project management of the organization’s modular project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Establish and oversee project management governance, standards, processes, and performance metrics.
- Provide leadership and direction to Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and project delivery teams.
- Monitor portfolio performance, proactively managing risks, resource capacity, priorities, and escalated issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality and client expectations.
- Partner with Sales, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align project execution with business priorities.
- Provide regular portfolio reporting, insights, and recommendations to the VP and senior leadership team.

Project Leadership & Financial Oversight

- Oversee project contracts, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial performance across the project portfolio.
- Ensure consistent project administration practices, including contract compliance, change management, documentation,



and reporting.
- Monitor project financial performance and implement corrective actions to support profitability and successful project outcomes.
- Drive accountability for project delivery standards and resource utilization.

Strategic Planning & Business Partnership

- Contribute to organizational planning by providing project portfolio insights, resource forecasts, and operational recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and maintain key supplier and subcontractor relationships to promote successful project outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve project outcomes, enhance client satisfaction, and support business growth.

Continuous Improvement

- Lead the development and enhancement of project management methodologies, systems, tools, and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, profitability, and project performance.
- Champion innovation and scalable project delivery practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

People Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team, including Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.
- Establish clear performance expectations, goals, and development plans for team members.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and succession planning to build organizational capability.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for the project management function.
- Foster an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with company values.
- Promote leadership development and knowledge sharing across the project management organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business, or a related field.

Experience

- 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience with responsibility for complex project portfolios.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing project management teams
- Strong depth of construction industry knowledge/experience – both contractual/administrative as well as operational/technical.
- Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
- Experience reporting to senior leadership and influencing organizational decision-making.

Knowledge & Skills

- Strong understanding of project delivery, portfolio management, budgeting, forecasting,



contract management, and risk management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience implementing project management governance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, Power BI).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align project execution to organizational strategy.

WORK CONDITIONS:

- Location: 35 W 5th Ave #215, Vancouver, BC

At Kalesnikoff, working safely is an expectation. In your role you will have the time and resources needed to meet that expectation.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

- Salary: $106,000 – $133,000 (depending on experience)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
