What You’ll Do (Core Duties)

- Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Provide peri care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Support clients with medication reminders
- Help with mobility (transferring, positioning, walking)
- Work collaboratively with nurses, family members, and other care team members
- Provide care in private homes, assisted living, or nursing facilities as assigned

What You Bring (Required Qualifications)

- Valid Health Care Aide certificate from a recognized Alberta post-secondary institution
- Active registration with the CLPNA (College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta) as a Health Care Aide – or willingness to obtain before starting
- Current First Aid with CPR Level C (includes adult, child,



and infant – must be from a recognized provider like Heart & Stroke, Red Cross, etc.)
- Trained in MAP (Medication Administration Procedures) – completed within the last 2 years or willing to recertify before starting
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position clients (up to 25 kg with appropriate technique)
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and reliability
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector (or willingness to obtain)
- Own reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (preferred, not required)
