Hexagon Octave Attune Developer - CMBC EAM (5 Month Contract)
Location: New Westminster, BC / Hybrid
Staffing Placement Opportunity
Position Overview The client’s Business Technology Services division is seeking a Hexagon / Octave Attune Developer to support an Enterprise Asset Management product team. The team provides application support, bug fixes, and enhancements for an Enterprise Asset Management system used to track organizational assets.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Analytics and Development and work closely with the Product Manager, Product Owner, project team members, business stakeholders, and other internal departments. The work will be delivered using Agile methodologies, with a focus on delivering business value.
The contractor may also be assigned to other full life-cycle projects based on project requirements, available funding, and the candidate’s qualifications and suitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply business and technical knowledge to investigate, configure, repair, modify, test, and implement functionality that addresses client and stakeholder needs.
- Analyze business requirements and contribute to application architecture, integrations, technology selection, and development strategy.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain the Enterprise Asset Management application and its related integrations.
- Collaborate with product leadership, project team members,
and business stakeholders in a Scrum Agile environment.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
DELIVERABLES The successful candidate will provide standard developer deliverables and supporting documentation, including:
- Working instances of the applicable products
- Source code
- Wiki and technical documentation
- Knowledge transfer sessions
Required Experience And Skills
- Hands-on experience with HxGN / Octave Attune EAM, including configuration and the extensibility framework
- Experience working in a Scrum Agile environment
- Solid ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining applications and integrations
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure platform
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps
- Experience with Azure Functions
HOURS AND OVERTIME
- A standard workday is 7.5 hours, and a standard workweek is 37.5 hours.
- Working hours may vary depending on project requirements.
- Hours exceeding 7.5 per day require prior written approval from the client manager.
- Approved overtime is paid at the contractor’s standard hourly rate.
- Lunch breaks are not reimbursable.
- All hours must be recorded in the client’s designated timekeeping system.
