Our client, a manufacturer in Scarborough, is looking for an HR Administrator to join their team in a full-time permanent role!
As the HR Administrator, you will support the HR Manager with administrative duties to ensure smooth operations of the Human Resources Department.

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains HR paper files and HR database. Completes HR administrative paperwork.
- Liaises with payroll, pension and benefit contacts to ensure compensation plans are administered in an appropriate manner.
- Assists with recruitment.
- Co-ordinates the new hire orientation process to help ensure successful recent hire assimilation into the workforce.
- Uploads training records in the database and ensures compliance with AS9100 requirements.
- Co-ordinates with the Health and Safety Coordinator any safety issues. Actively participates in H & S initiatives.
- Oversees company social events, recognition/service awards, etc.
- Ensures communication strategies are utilized in an appropriate and effective manner – assists in organizing forums, meetings, etc.
- Prepares announcements and updates communication boards/monitors.
- Monitors employee access system.
- Be the Designated Officer - ensuring we maintain ITAR/CGRP compliance.
- Maintains controlled goods visitor log.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years human resources generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Post secondary certificate/diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
- CHRP designation obtained or working towards would be an ASSET
- Excellent communication skills and not afraid to ask questions or ask for help.
- Ability to assist, communicate with and advise co-workers in a positive and effective manner.
- Ability to gain the trust and confidence of peers, by being able to deal with sensitive/confidential information with absolute discretion.
- Ability to set priorities and accurately complete many tasks in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
- Computer literacy. (Microsoft Office, HR Software programs)
- A mindset for continual improvement and a desire to learn.
- Must comply with all HD confidentiality requirements and security directives under ITAR/CGRP regulations.
