Role Description The Human Resources Director is a full time, on-site role based in Kamloops, BC. This position oversees the full spectrum of HR functions, including developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and supporting leaders with performance management processes. The role includes ensuring compliance with labor and employment law, guiding workforce planning and talent acquisition, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with CEC’s Four Pillars.

The Human Resources

Director will partner with senior leadership to design HR strategies that support business growth, lead HR initiatives and programs,



and provide coaching to managers on people-related matters. Day-to-day responsibilities also include handling sensitive HR issues, overseeing HR administration, and monitoring HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong Human Resources (HR) generalist background, including experience leading HR teams and functions.
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain HR policies that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and promoting an inclusive culture.
- Experience with Performance Management processes, such as goal setting, feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law and proven ability to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and partnership-building skills with employees at all levels.
- Experience in industrial construction, crane services, or related industries is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., CPHR) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work in office in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
