In-Arena Host The FireWolves are seeking an energetic individual to serve as an In-Arena Host and help bring the game-day experience to life for FireWolves fans. The In-Arena Host will be responsible for creating an exciting, upbeat, and positive atmosphere through interactions with fans, in-game entertainment, contests, promotions, and live interviews. The ability to connect with all types of people, think quickly on your feet, and confidently engage a crowd is a vital component to the FireWolves’ success in creating a memorable game-day experience for fans throughout the Durham Region.

Job Responsibilities

- Serve as an in-arena host for Oshawa FireWolves home games, welcoming fans, introducing in-game promotions, and leading entertainment segments.

- Engage with fans throughout the game, encouraging participation in cheers, chants, contests, and interactive activities.

- Host and execute in-arena contests, promotions, and giveaways in collaboration with the Corporate Partnerships teams.

- Seamlessly incorporate sponsor messaging and promotional content into the in-game entertainment experience while maintaining an authentic, high-energy presence.

- Conduct live, on-camera, and in-arena interviews with fans, players, coaches, sponsors, and special guests.

- Work closely with the Game Presentation team to ensure the timely and successful execution of all in-game entertainment elements.

- Adapt quickly to game developments, schedule changes, and unexpected situations while keeping the entertainment experience running smoothly.

- Attend pre-game meetings with the Game Presentation team and other game-day staff.





- Assist with additional game-day entertainment initiatives and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as an emcee, performer, event host, broadcaster, or in a similar entertainment role is preferred, but not required.

- Comfortable speaking on a microphone and engaging with large crowds in a confident and dynamic manner.

- Knowledge of lacrosse is an asset, but not required.

- Ability to think on your feet, improvise, and react quickly to changing situations.

- Outgoing, personable, and comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone.

- Solid ability to connect with a wide range of audiences, from families and young fans to passionate sports fans.

- Availability to work Oshawa FireWolves home games throughout the season, including regular season and playoff games.

- Ability to arrive at the arena at least two hours prior to game time for preparation and pre-game meetings.

- Applicants must submit a demo reel or video demonstrating their on-camera and/or hosting abilities.

Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and move throughout the arena for extended periods of time.

- Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced live-event environment.

- May occasionally be required to lift or carry promotional items, equipment, or props weighing up to 25 pounds.

- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

- Must be a Canadian Citizen
