We are seeking an In-Person Academic Tutor to provide individualized academic instruction to students in Watermark, Bearspaw, Calgary.

The successful candidate will work closely with students to deliver engaging, personalized lessons while adapting teaching approaches to support their individual learning needs.

Experience with differentiated instruction, personalized learning, and supporting neurodivergent learners is an asset.

Required Qualifications





- Current or retired certified teacher preferred
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring students in a classroom, homeschool, or one-on-one setting
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of differentiated and individualized instruction
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and student-focused
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a structured learning environment
- Passion for innovative and student-centred teaching
- Strong commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Ability to commit to Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30–7:30 PM throughout the school year
- Ability to commute reliably to the Watermark, Bearspaw, Calgary location
- Willingness to complete a Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check, as required

Schedule and Compensation

- Location: Watermark, Bearspaw, Calgary

- Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays
- Hours: Between 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Position Type: Part-time, in-person
- Compensation: $22 to $27/hour, based on experience and qualification
