Job Title : Infrastructure Security Analyst – Azure
3-month contract | On-site in Vancouver, BC | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa
Our client, a leading global maritime transportation and ship management organization, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Analyst – Azure .
The Infrastructure Security
Analyst will support a focused vulnerability remediation initiative , working closely with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to review identified security vulnerabilities, validate remediation requirements, coordinate and implement remediation activities, and drive findings through to resolution.
The environment is primarily Microsoft Azure , with supporting on-premises infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role requiring a strong combination of infrastructure administration and cybersecurity expertise , particularly across Azure infrastructure, identity and access management, networking, security controls, patching, and infrastructure hardening.
The successful candidate will be comfortable independently assessing security findings, determining practical remediation approaches, and implementing or coordinating the required changes. A key focus will be translating vulnerability assessments and penetration testing findings into actionable remediation activities while understanding the potential impact of patches and configuration changes on the broader infrastructure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze infrastructure security vulnerabilities identified through security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning
- Assess identified vulnerabilities to understand technical impact, security risk, dependencies, and appropriate remediation requirements
- Translate penetration testing and vulnerability findings into practical remediation plans and technical actions
- Design and implement remediation solutions for security findings affecting the Microsoft Azure environment
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation activities across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity,
and other technical teams
- Manage and support infrastructure patching and security remediation across Azure and supporting on-premises environments
- Obtain required technical and business approvals and coordinate remediation schedules with impacted users and teams
- Track vulnerabilities and remediation activities from initial identification through implementation, validation, and closure
- Remediate security issues affecting Azure Virtual Machines, networking, Private Endpoints, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Entra ID, and other cloud infrastructure services
- Review and strengthen identity and access controls , including Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Implement and maintain Azure Policies and governance controls to improve infrastructure security and compliance
- Troubleshoot security issues spanning network, identity, cloud infrastructure, and access-control layers
- Support remediation of vulnerabilities affecting servers, endpoints, network devices, and other infrastructure assets
- Identify and address infrastructure configuration weaknesses and security-hardening opportunities
- Work with stakeholders to ensure remediation activities follow established change management and approval processes
- Maintain accurate documentation of vulnerabilities, remediation actions, technical decisions, approvals, and completion status
- Provide regular status reporting on remediation progress, outstanding risks, blockers, and priorities
- Help accelerate overall vulnerability management, infrastructure hardening, and patch compliance initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Administration,
Infrastructure Security, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related technical role
- Solid hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation
- Demonstrated experience remediating penetration testing findings within Microsoft Azure environments
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure patching, security hardening, and change management processes
- Experience implementing Azure Policies and cloud governance controls
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, infrastructure vulnerabilities, risk assessment, security controls, and remediation strategies
- Experience troubleshooting security issues across networking, identity, access, and cloud infrastructure layers
- Experience coordinating remediation activities across multiple technical teams, business stakeholders, and impacted users
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to independently assess security findings and drive remediation activities through to resolution
- Experience with vulnerability scanning platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7 is considered an asset
- Experience supporting enterprise networking equipment is considered an asset
- Experience working across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure is considered an asset
- Experience implementing security controls using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) is considered an asset
- Security certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), CompTIA Security+, CISSP , or similar are considered assets

- Microsoft Entra ID
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Conditional Access
