About Halcyon
Halcyon Logistics Inc. is a young, fast-growing BC moving and logistics company.
We're still a small team, we're growing quickly, and we're looking for people who want to get in early and grow with us.
We currently operate four specialized moving brands across British Columbia:
Vancouver Island Movers
Residential and long-distance moving throughout Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast and Mainland.
vancouverislandmovers.com
Sea to Sky Movers
Moving and logistics throughout Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor.
seatoskymoving.com
Piano Movers BC
Specialized upright and grand piano moving throughout British Columbia.
pianomoversbc.ca
Pool Table Movers BC
Specialized pool table moving, disassembly, reassembly, levelling and related services.
pooltablemoversbc.ca
We also have two additional moving brands in development for potential launch as we continue expanding into new markets and service areas.
We're still in the building stage, which means the people joining us now have a real opportunity to grow with the company and help shape how we operate.
The Role
As an Inside Sales Associate, you'll be one of the first people our customers speak with.
You'll manage incoming leads across our moving brands, understand what each customer needs, build accurate estimates, follow up on opportunities and turn inquiries into booked moves.
This is primarily an inbound sales role, but it isn't an order-taking position. We want someone comfortable picking up the phone, asking good questions, following up consistently, handling objections and confidently asking for the sale.
You don't need moving industry experience. We'll teach you that part.
We're much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.
What You'll Do
- Respond to new phone, website, email and text inquiries
- Speak with customers to understand their move and requirements
- Ask the right questions to properly assess each job
- Prepare and present estimates
- Follow up consistently with open opportunities
- Handle customer questions and sales objections
- Convert estimates into booked moves
- Re-engage older leads and opportunities
- Maintain accurate information and follow-ups in our CRM
- Manage and organize your own sales pipeline
- Coordinate with operations when additional planning is required
- Learn the services,
markets and pricing structures across our brands
Our Culture & Values We're a small company and we operate like one. Things move quickly, communication is informal, and we keep layers of management and unnecessary bureaucracy to a minimum.
You'll have quite a bit of independence. We'll train you and support you, but we're not looking to manage someone hour by hour.
Our four core values are:
- Resourcefulness – Figure things out. This is our most important value. You won't always know the answer and there won't always be a written process. Use the tools available to you, research, ask valuable questions and find a way forward. You don't need to have all the answers. You need to be someone who can find them.
- Honesty – Be straightforward. Be honest with the team. If you don't know something, say so. If you make a mistake, own it.
- Ownership – Take responsibility. Follow through on your commitments, take responsibility for your work and don't assume someone else will take care of something.
- Always Improve – Look for a better way. We're still building. If you see a better way to do something, bring it forward and help us improve as we grow.
Who We're Looking For Formal experience matters less to us than attitude and aptitude.
Sales, customer service or logistics experience is an asset, but none of it is required if you're the right person.
You'll probably do well here if you're:
- Resourceful and naturally good at figuring things out
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently
- Confident and personable on the phone
- Competitive and motivated by results
- Persistent without being pushy
- Organized and able to manage multiple conversations at once
- Comfortable with technology and learning recent systems
- Honest, accountable and reliable
- Comfortable with change and a fast-growing company
- Someone who follows through
Our Interview Process We care more about attitude, judgement and how you approach problems than having the perfect resume,
so our interview process is designed around getting to know how you think and work.
Our process has three stages:
1. Behavioural Assessment
If your resume is shortlisted, you'll receive a link to complete a short online behavioural assessment. This gives us a better understanding of how you approach situations, solve problems and communicate.
2. 30-Minute Interview with Ownership
Selected candidates will have a 30-minute conversation with Halcyon's ownership team. We'll talk about your experience, how you work, what motivates you and whether Halcyon feels like the right fit for both sides.
3. 30-Minute Team Interview The final stage is an informal conversation with members of the team you'll be working with. It's an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other, for you to ask questions and for us to make sure there's a good fit before moving forward.
Why Join Halcyon?
Get in early.
We're still small. You'll be joining while we're building the company and the sales department, not after everything has already been established.
Real opportunity to grow.
A potential path for this role could look like:
Inside Sales Associate → Sales Team Lead → Sales Manager
As our brands and sales volume grow, we expect our sales team to grow with them. For the right person, there is a real opportunity to eventually build and manage your own sales team.
Help build the company.
If you have a better idea, we want to hear it. You'll have an opportunity to influence the systems, processes and sales strategies we use as Halcyon grows.
Work from home.
This is a fully remote position. We're not interested in monitoring your screen all day. We care about responsiveness, customer experience and results.

Interested?
We're less concerned with finding someone who checks every box on a traditional sales resume and more interested in finding someone with the right attitude.
If you're resourceful, honest, comfortable working independently and excited by the idea of joining a small company while it's still being built, we'd like to hear from you.
