This role offers an exciting opportunity for intermediate-level professionals eager to grow their careers and contribute to Alberta’s environmental sector.

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Environmental Professional with at least 3 years of professional experience, 2 of those years in contaminated site assessments. This role focuses on environmental site assessments, remediation planning, and compliance monitoring. It provides opportunities to develop expertise in project management and will expand your knowledge of project logistics, client liaison, budgeting, and problem solving while contributing to the growth of TerraWest’s Alberta operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments, compliance monitoring, and related contaminated sites services;
- Assist with hazardous materials investigations and cross-train as necessary;
- Contribute to project planning, fieldwork, data analysis, and report preparation;
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and deliverables; and
- Ability and willingness to travel to other locations in Alberta in the course of normal work.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Engineering,



or a related field;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental consulting, preferably with experience with environmental site assessments, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring and site remediation;
- Familiarity with Alberta regulatory frameworks and environmental guidelines;
- Possess or pursuing a relevant professional designation (e.g., P.Ag, P.Bio, P.Eng);
- Ability to work independently and in a small group setting;
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient in relevant software and adaptable to new tools;
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs;
- Comfortable working in varying conditions in various settings;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record and access to a vehicle;
- Experience in the commercial and industrial industry is considered an asset;
- Experience in BC and/or SK is considered an asset; and
- Biology experience is considered an asset.
