What you will do :
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and installation plans prepared by consultants and project partners;
- Assist the Electromechanical Operations Manager with day-to-day activities;
- Support the implementation of health and safety requirements by MEP subcontractors, including lifting plans, work plans, and compliance with Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout) procedures;
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all MEP stakeholders on site;
- Identify key issues and risks arising on the construction site;
- Participate in site meetings and coordination activities;
- Monitor the progress of electromechanical work against project schedules;
- Verify field installations for compliance with project requirements and quality standards;
- Assist in validating that partner work complies with contractual requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, installation plans, and the project quality plan;
- Support Pomerleau’s Quality Manager during wall and ceiling closure inspections;
- Attend testing, commissioning, and start-up activities;
- Review and validate testing and inspection reports completed by MEP contractors.
This role could be for you if you have :
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
- Demonstrated interest in electromechanical systems and large-scale construction projects;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with various site stakeholders;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of project management or technical drafting/design software is considered an asset.
