- Participation in feasibility assessments for product development projects;
- Development, research, and qualification of mechanical and electromechanical components;
- Creation of product concepts in 3D models;
- Design of enclosures, systems, subsystems and parts, as well as PCB outline definition and mechanical component positioning on the PCB;
- Make tolerance stackup analysis;
- Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings including silkscreen using SolidWorks, FreeCad;
- Study and propose corrections related to quality issues;
- Create prototypes with 3D print.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial design engineering in progress;
- Very valuable knowledge of 3D design using SolidWorks / FreeCad;
- Interest in mechanical integration and enclosure design of electronic products;
- Interest in learning and understanding the certification requirements in electromagnetic, electrical, and mechanical compliance (FCC, UL, CSA, CE, etc.);
- Good understanding of DFMA;
- Ability to interact with multiple people, including subcontractors and suppliers;
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously;
- Passionate about his work and high-end technologies;
- Autonomous, versatile and goal-oriented;
- Good knowledge of English and French, spoken and written;
- Knowledge of a programming/scripting language like Visual Basic would be an asset.
