As part of an industrial design-build construction project located in Granby, the intern will have the opportunity to actively participate in the coordination of the industrial process construction elements being implemented on site.
Throughout the project, the intern will also contribute to the planning and execution of the plant process commissioning preparation phase, including activities leading to the completion of pre-operational verifications.
During the construction phase, the student will support the coordination of shop drawings, management of technical documentation, and follow-up with contractors and consultants involved in the project.
What you will do
- Understand and apply the mechanical concepts established by the project professionals;
- Assist in meeting the client's needs and requirements;
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues, partners, professionals, and clients;
- Participate in the development and monitoring of the project schedule;
- Contribute to resolving coordination issues between engineering designs and on-site installation activities;
- Assist in coordinating the work of partners from various mechanical disciplines in accordance with the construction schedule and quality requirements;
- Support the resolution of technical issues encountered on site;
- Ensure that work performed by partners complies with contractual requirements and the Quality Plan (PRIE);
- Prepare internal project tracking documentation for team meetings and weekly reports;
- Participate in managing project changes (quantity validation, analyses, quotations, etc.).
This role could be for you if you have
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Robust problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
