As a Health and Safety intern at Pomerleau Construction, you will have the prospect to support new and ongoing project growth while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you'll work closely with our teams to learn the ropes and make a real impact.

What you will do

- Assist project teams in health and safety compliance.
- Support the promotion of Pomerleau’s H&S; standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure safety practices.
- Help investigate incidents and share findings.
- Assist in training and mentoring team members on H&S; best practices.
- Compile and analyze safety statistics for proactive improvements.
- Assisting monitoring safety systems for effectiveness

This role could be for you if you have




- Must be currently enrolled in a recognized Occupational Health & Safety degree or diploma program.
- A positive mindset and sense of excitement for being in the action everyday on-site.
- A proven track record of team collaboration, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Be versatile, curious, meticulous, and eager to actively participate on a construction site.
- Have a passion for the construction industry.
