Expert IT Solutions is seeking a full time System Administrator in our Red Deer location.

Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain both physical and virtual servers and ensure that they are configured optimally for Expert IT Solutions ‘partner’ networks and are accessible from local & remote sites

· Install and support new cloud solutions and applications, including Microsoft 365 and Azure, Exchange etc.

· Recommend and design cloud backup & disaster recovery solutions

· Provide high-level System Administration including installation and configuration coordination for custom-developed and commercial application software

· Test and configure, and co-ordinate network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance

· Analyze, diagnose, and resolve network problems, liaise with vendor providers as required

· Provide networking support (TCP, DNS, simple subnets, VLAN, VPN, firewalls, Wireless)

· Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

· Efficiently respond to client needs and troubleshoot or escalate issues as required

· Check server and network event logs and escalate issues as required





· Create and manage Active Directory environment

Requirements:

· Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

· 3-5+ years of experience supporting SMB networks, servers, and ancillary systems

· Excellent customer service skills

· Highly proficient at identifying user and system issues and resolving or escalating

· Proficient in configuring and deploying Microsoft Office Applications including Office 365

· Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks

· Strong troubleshooting & Communication skills

· Fundamental knowledge or exposure to the following technologies:

- Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows Server 2012-current +R2, 2016, Linux, OSX, IOS, Android, VMWare & clustering, Hyper-V and clustering
- Networking: Meraki, SonicWALL, Cisco, Juniper, Lenovo, HP, Wireless AP, Ubiquiti

· CompTIA A+, Network+ would be considered assets · Valid driver’s license and vehicle

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $68,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
