- Maintain, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial heavy equipment, and commercial transport
- Troubleshooting system failures.
- Identifying faults or hazards
- Responding to Work Order requests.
- Providing suggestions for equipment replacement.
- Writing mechanical maintenance reports.
- Adhering to safety and performance standards.
- Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
- Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used in work order system.
- Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to equipment
- Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Perform emergency repairs
- Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
- Maintain a secure and clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.
- A minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience.
- As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace
