Join GFL in Saskatoon as an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position involves maintaining and repairing our fleet, including Hydrovac and Highway trucks, ensuring top performance. As a Journeyman Mechanic at GFL, you'll work within the Fleet Maintenance division.
Your key tasks involve diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and repair on various trucks and high-pressure pumps. Leadership experience is preferred as you'll collaborate closely with the Shop Foreman and Lead Hand ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and diagnostics on fleet equipment
- Repair mechanical systems including engines and hydraulic systems
- Test repaired equipment for operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs
- Communicate effectively with team members Requirements:
- Journeyman certificate in Truck and Transport or Heavy Equipment
- Class 5 Drivers License; 1A or 3A preferred
- Robust mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
