Work for a globally recognized organization backed by Johnson Controls Contribute to cutting-edge technology used worldwide Enjoy stable, long-term career opportunities in manufacturing We currently operate manufacturing facilities in: We offer multiple shift options to fit your lifestyle: ~ Monday to Thursday - Night Shift Plumbing TheJourneypersonPlumber willbe responsible forthe installation, maintenance and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.This positionwill work using safe work practices with items such as, but not limitedto:air conditioning, humidifiers, gas lines, waterpipesand sewer utilities in and about the facilities, as well asmaintainingand repairing compressed air lines, compressors, and vacuum pumps. Installs commercial and in-house produced plumbing assemblies into in-process HVAC equipment. Participates in all construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing, air conditioning, or gas fitting changes and/or additions.
Tends to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs including cleaning for all plumbing,heating, andair conditioning, and air and vacuum related equipment. Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance production and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for sanitation facilities. Assistin training, directing,
and supervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.
Performs plumbing inventory and orders parts asrequired. Reviews coding accuracy of assigned builds. Provides technical Assistance/Emergency Response services to existing facilities. Set up and tests finished HVAC equipment for proper performance/customer requirements.
Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques. Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred. Appropriate credentials and certifications - Industrial Plumber Trade Certification, 5th PeriodApprentice and working towards an Industrial Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Must have the physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 lbs. ~ Travel to off-site locations may berequired. ~ Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). ~ Overtime asrequired. ~ Work both indoors andoutdoors,may be exposed to construction sites.
