Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experience Journeyman Welder to join our growing team. As a key member of our manufacturing division, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and welding components for oilfield equipment. The successful candidate will bring a high level of expertise, precision, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks in accordance with company specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and welding symbols.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using various welding processes
- Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of welded components.
- Collaborate with other team membersto meet production deadlines and project goals.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Journeyman Certificate
- Structural welding experience is preferred
- 5 years experience in welding/manufacturing industry
- Strong willingness to learn, listen, follow instructions, and ask for help when necessary
- Able to take direction and work efficiently in a fast-paced teamwork environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CWB all positioning FCAW certification is considered an asset
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including but not limited to: GMAW, SMAW, MCAW, FCAW
Education and Experience: Alberta Ticketed Journeyperson or equivalent out of province experience/training/certification
Min 5 years’ experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Overtime after 8 Hours per day and/or 44 HR per week as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
