About the Position

PADCOM is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Industrial Electrician to join our team at our potash mining operation near Russell, Manitoba.

This position will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and safe operation of electrical systems and equipment throughout the facility.

The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill the requirements of the Statutory Electrician role for the mine and must meet all applicable requirements under Manitoba mining legislation.

We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, dependable, comfortable working independently, and experienced in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance
- Diagnose electrical faults and equipment failures
- Maintain motors, controls, panels, instrumentation, and associated electrical equipment
- Assist with electrical installations, modifications, and facility upgrades
- Perform inspections and identify electrical hazards or deficiencies
- Ensure electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and Manitoba regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
- Support plant operations and respond to electrical issues as required
- Participate in site safety meetings, inspections, and safe work planning
- Follow PADCOM safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
- Coordinate with contractors and other trades when required

Qualifications

Required:

- Certified Journeyperson Electrician with industrial qualifications
- Valid Manitoba electrical licence, or eligibility to obtain the applicable Manitoba licence
- Must meet all applicable requirements to fulfill the Statutory Electrician role for the mine
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems,



troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and safe work procedures
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Preferred:

- Previous experience in mining, processing, manufacturing, or another heavy industrial environment
- Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial control systems
- Experience working in a regulated mining environment
- Familiarity with Manitoba mining and workplace safety requirements
- Experience coordinating or overseeing electrical contractors and electrical work
