We are seeking a Junior IT Programmer/Analyst ready to launch their career at our Ayr, Ontario location.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze and evaluate the impact of application enhancements.
- Understand the day-to-day issues that our business faces, which can be better understood with data
- Compile and analyze data related to business' issues
- Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion
- Identify, document, and validate data requirements, technology and IT infrastructure requirements and expectations
- Create and maintain SQL server/MySQL databases,
tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
- Develop and maintain applications using Python, C#, C++, .NET 4.0 framework, Java, XML, Node.js
- Develop and maintain web sites using WordPress
- Develop and maintain reports using SSRS
- Develop and maintain data integrations using SSIS
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI
- Produce technical and descriptive documentation.
- Provide leadership and hands-on technical assistance to all team members across multiple sites
- Provide additional help desk and technical support for daily operations.
- Maintain the ticket tracking system, resolving, and closing tickets. Escalate and track the resolution of issues, and conduct client follow-up
- Conform to the EMS requirements as defined by the EMS documents related to IT.
- Provide off hours support as needed.
Qualifications (education & skills required):
- Completion of University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Programming or a related discipline
- Systems analysis and design
- Programming experience in Python, C#, C++, .NET 4.0 framework, Java, XML, Node.js
- Advanced knowledge of SQL server/MySQL for the design & management of data in a relational database management system, database schema creation & modification, and database object access control management database design.
- Web design and development – WordPress, HTML
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
- Basic knowledge of PLC and machine automation systems
- Prioritization, ability to organize work to accomplish multiple and changing priorities within specified time frame
- Creativity to design and implement viable, cost-effective solutions
- Customer service skills including effectively responding to inquiries
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Work effectively on own and in a team.
- Willingness to provide off-hours support as needed.
