Convergint is currently recruiting for a Junior BAS Technician join our growing team in our Toronto, ON location. As a Junior BAS Technician, you will be responsible for providing hands-on exposure to field installation, troubleshooting, system start-up, and project support, all while helping the successful candidate build practical experience in Building Automation Systems.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

- Work on new construction sites and existing customer sites installing, programming and troubleshooting Building Systems including HVAC Control, Energy Management, Lighting Control and Security systems.
- Follows clear instructions when performing job start-ups and checkouts on job sites to work safely.
- Work in office with design and service departments to prepare submittal and As-Built documentation using MS Office and Visio.




- Provide technical support to end users when applicable. Proactively seeks technical guidance from more experienced staff for difficult and unusual situations.
- Execute all work in accordance with provincial and local regulations, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times.
- Performs other office duties as requested and required (warehouse, administration, sales assistance)

Requirements:

- Diploma or Degree in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, or related program.
- Exposure to HVAC, electronic, and/or building automation would be an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada (for example, by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or work permit).
- Valid driver’s license (G2 or higher) is required.
