Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Junior Financial Accountant is a key contributor in the preparation and analysis of Boston Pizza International Inc.’s ("BPI") monthly financial and departmental statements, key account reconciliations, management reports, and the preparation of quarterly and annual audit and tax working papers.
Prepare and review Full Cycle Accounting for BPI: Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts. Prepare and perform variance analysis of financial statements and management reports. Review accounts payable transactions and provide back up and support as needed, including some administrative tasks Prepare quarterly and annual audit working papers for BPI Prepare and process treasury tasks, including:
Monthly Bank Reconciliations Bank deposits as required Statistics Canada surveys You have a post-secondary diploma in Business, Accounting or Finance.
You have a minimum of 1 year of progressive accounting experience.
Experience using Sage or other Enterprise Resource Planning ("ERP") systems would be an asset. You may be working towards a CPA designation. You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
