The Golden Bus — Edmonton, AlbertaContract / Casual Driving OpportunitiesPay: $20.00–$32.50/hour + Quarterly Performance Incentive The Golden Bus is looking for professional, reliable Class 2Q drivers to join our growing team and help deliver a safe, high-end party bus experience across Edmonton and surrounding areas.

This is not a traditional fixed-schedule driving position. Drivers are offered individual bookings and may accept or decline work based on their availability. There are no guaranteed minimum hours, making this a strong fit for someone who already works full time, drives commercially, is semi-retired, or simply wants flexible extra income.

WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE

You’ll operate a full-size luxury party bus for private bookings including birthdays, weddings, corporate events, concerts, nightlife, special events and group transportation.

Bookings may take place during:

- Weekday evenings
- Friday and Saturday nights
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Late-night events
- Occasional daytime or out-of-town trips

Once you accept a booking, we expect you to show up on time, operate professionally, complete required inspections and paperwork, and provide passengers with a safe and positive experience.

COMPENSATION

Driving / On-Duty Rate: Up to $32.50/hour, depending on experience and agreed rate.

Preparation / Close-Out: $20.00/hour

Standalone bookings or continuous shifts include compensated preparation and close-out time for duties such as:

- Pre-trip inspection and required paperwork
- Preparing the bus before passengers arrive
- Repositioning to pickup locations
- Returning the bus after service
- Cleaning and resetting the passenger area
- Completing required post-trip reporting

Authorized staging, fueling, washing, repositioning or other approved operational work may also be compensated at $20.00/hour. Drivers may also be eligible for a quarterly performance incentive of up to 10% of qualifying driving wages based on reliability, safe driving, vehicle care, compliance, customer service and booking participation.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR





Applicants must have

- Valid Alberta Class 2 Driver’s Licence
- Valid Q / Air Brake Endorsement
- Current acceptable driver abstract
- Ability to qualify under our commercial vehicle insurance
- Strong safety record
- Professional and respectful attitude
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to remain calm around energetic groups and nightlife environments
- Reliability once a booking has been accepted

Experience driving buses, motor coaches, school buses, transit vehicles, shuttles, limousines or other commercial passenger vehicles is an asset. THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

Already have your Class 2Q and want to make extra money without committing to a regular schedule.

Enjoy driving but don’t want a traditional Monday-to-Friday route.

Are comfortable working occasional evenings, weekends and late nights.

Can be friendly with customers while still maintaining professional boundaries and passenger safety.

Understand that a party bus can be fun for passengers while the driver’s job remains safety-first and professional at all times.

CONTRACT STRUCTURE

This is a contracted driving opportunity, not a guaranteed full-time position.

Drivers may accept or decline individual booking opportunities before committing to them. Once a booking is accepted, the driver is expected to complete that assignment unless an emergency or other approved circumstance arises.

No minimum number of bookings, hours or earnings is guaranteed. Final driving authorization is subject to required documentation, onboarding, training and insurance approval.
