We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team in a quick-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support other kitchen staff in delivering high-quality food. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality and food service industry while contributing to a dynamic kitchen atmosphere.
The shifts are mostly for daytime/weekends, but occasional weekdays are required
Responsibilities
- Clean dishes, utensils and equipment promptly to ensure a smooth workflow
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations
- Support butchers by providing necessary ingredients and tools.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Enthusiasm about good food and a job well done is a must
- Solid attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
