We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our team for year-round work, including the winter snow maintenance season. This position could lead to a full time lead hand role. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks that support the daily operations of our projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that work sites are safe, organized, and efficient.
Duties
- Perform general labour tasks including loading and unloading materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with their duties as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Valid 'G' drivers license, with good driving abstract
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Previous experience in construction or manual labor is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
- Valuable communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
