Subcool Mechanical Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer – Shop & Field Support to join our team. This position will support our shop operations and assist our plumbing, gasfitting, HVAC/refrigeration, and sheet metal crews on project sites.

The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the mechanical trades and has some general knowledge of construction, tools, or mechanical work. This is a great prospect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and potentially pursue an apprenticeship in the future.

The successful candidate will

- Assist with plumbing, gasfitting, HVAC/refrigeration, and sheet metal crews on site.
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and loading material orders.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Organize and maintain the shop, yard, and fleet.
- Wash and maintain company trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Assist the Shop Foreman with general shop tasks and projects.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Assist with material handling, staging, site preparation, and cleanup.
- Follow direction from Foremen, Supervisors, and Journeypersons.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Interest in pursuing a career or apprenticeship in plumbing, gas fitting, HVAC/refrigeration,



or sheet metal.
- Able to pass random Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Some general knowledge of mechanical trades, construction, tools, or equipment is an asset.
- Previous labour, construction, shop, or mechanical experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials and equipment.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work a 21/7 rotation and stay in remote camp accommodations when required.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Able and willing to tow a cargo trailer.
