We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee and assist in the execution of landscape construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficient operations. Your leadership will help coordinate daily tasks, manage crew members, and uphold safety standards across all job sites.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise landscape construction crews, providing clear direction and support throughout each project phase
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with site preparation and installation tasks
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health
- Perform gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, mulching, and soil preparation
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for various construction activities, ensuring safety and precision
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with project managers to plan daily work schedules, monitor progress, and meet project deadlines




- Uphold safety protocols on-site by enforcing proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures

Skills

- Proven experience in landscape construction or related fields with a robust understanding of construction processes
- experience in all facets of paving stone instalation and walls
- Proficiency in operating excavators and other heavy machinery used in site development
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or project plans for accurate implementation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining safety standards
