Information about the Learning Facilitator role:

Emeritus is seeking a Learning Facilitator in AI and Cybersecurity: Strategies for Resilience and Defense (Live Online Program) for MIT xPRO. The Learning Facilitator is a subject matter expert that serves as the front-line academic support for learners in the course, supporting the delivery of a high-impact, 4 weeks online program.

The Learning

Facilitator or candidates must have industry experience and demonstrated knowledge of the course subject area; They will guide learners through complex topics like AI-driven cyberattacks, defense systems, governance frameworks, and ethical challenges in real-world cybersecurity contexts.

This is a outstanding role for someone who wants work flexibility and the chance to diversify their resume with consultancy and teaching experience. This is an independent contractor position in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities of the Learning Facilitator include but are not limited to:

- Facilitate weekly office hours and moderate required discussion boards.
- Moderate and guide learner engagement during faculty live sessions.
- Support learners in synthesizing live session content delivered by the faculty (e.g., AI tools in cybercrime, GRC frameworks,



deepfake detection).
- Assist with capstone assignment challenges.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to improve engagement and comprehension.
- Monitor learner progress and provide support or escalation as needed.

Qualifications for the role:

- Bachelor’s degrees in cybersecurity, computer science, AI, information technology or a related field.
- 8 + years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including expertise in AI-driven security operations, technologies and levering AI and machine learning to enhance threat detection and security automation.
- Proven experience understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, and large language models LLMS’s.
- Proven knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including network security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response and data protection.
- Proven knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST cybersecurity framework, AI risk management frameworks and zero trust principles.
- Proven experience identifying and mitigating AI related security risks, such as data leakage, model misuse adversarial attacks and unauthorized access.
- Proven ability to use or evaluate security technologies such as vulnerability scanners, firewalls and cloud security tools.
- Experience with AWS, AZURE or google cloud security environments.
- Understanding programming languages such as python, SQL or Bash.
- Relevant Certification is preferred such as Security or AI/Security focused certifications.
- Experience supporting executive or mid-career professionals in continuing education is highly preferred.

Program Description and Context: MIT xPRO’s AI and Cybersecurity: Strategies for Resilience and Defense is a four-week, live online program that explores how AI, machine learning, and AI algorithms are transforming cyber operations. The program will help participants to understand and address emerging threats, manage AI-driven risks, and lead secure, forward-thinking strategies. Through live faculty sessions and real-world case studies, the participant will gain the actionable tools needed to strengthen AI-integrated security strategies and by the end of the program participants will gain the actionable tools needed to responsibly manage AI-driven risks, and lead confidently at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

- Duration: 4 weeks (estimated learner commitment: 4–5 hours/week).
- Structure: Blend of asynchronous Canvas activities and live Zoom sessions.
- Target Audience: Mid- to senior-level professionals and technical leaders seeking to integrate AI into cybersecurity strategies, such as senior technology leaders, cybersecurity executives, IT professionals, and risk managers.
