Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Assist with vehicle inspections,
ensuring compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours
- Support team members with technical guidance on complex repairs or assembly tasks
Requirements
- Valid state-issued automotive technician license or certification demonstrating mechanic experience
- Proven dealership experience or similar automotive repair background
- Strong mechanical knowledge across diverse vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and repair guides
- Experience with welding, heavy lifting, and the use of various hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
