- Act as the subject matter expert for complex cases involving deaths, separations, bankruptcies, and decumulation products
- Perform account corrections, analyze required actions, reconcile tax accounts, and amend tax slips
- Handle escalations related to delays, errors, or disputes and consult Legal when necessary
- Analyze event sequences to determine corrective actions
- Analyze legislative changes and update procedures, training, and documentation
- Manually calculate fund returns and produce tax slips for death-related TFSA and non-registered account cases
- Conduct peer reviews of complex financial transactions
- Remit unclaimed property in accordance with provincial legislation
- Manage project-based team tasks related to unclaimed property and age 71 requirements
- Support team members, provide feedback, and resolve recurring issues
- Collaborate with internal partners to resolve issues and propose client-focused solutions
- Oversee workflow, deadlines, delegation, and escalation to management
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of group savings and retirement products and applicable legislation
- Three to five years of relevant experience
- College diploma in a relevant field
- Empathy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
- Solid analytical skills
- Intermediate English proficiency required
- Ability to understand and process English information, files, and communications daily with English-speaking internal and external partners
