We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a robust understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations throughout the shift.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
