Job Summary

Rentx Group is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Trucking Operations Manager to run day-to-day operations across our three Belleville-area facilities, totaling over 375,000 sq ft. You'll be the single point of accountability for warehouse staff, our trucking/shunt operations, procurement and demand planning, safety & compliance, client relationships, and the financial numbers behind all of it. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build and scale a growing operation, not just maintain one.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and schedule warehouse staff across all 3 facilities, with full hiring, training, and performance management authority to build a team that scales with the business.
- Manage day-to-day trucking/shunt dispatch, coordinating contracted carriers.
- Coordinate procurement activities — sourcing, purchasing, and pricing — alongside demand planning to keep inventory, equipment, and space utilization optimized.
- Own budgeting and forecasting for labor, materials, and capital across all 3 sites, using monthly financial performance as the core measure of success.
- Own workplace health & safety (OHSA) across all sites, including forklift/reach-truck certification programs, and track safety incident rates with a target of zero lost-time incidents.
- Manage space utilization and storage methodology across 375,000+ sq ft of warehouse space, including the operational side of onboarding new accounts as we scale.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for key accounts — presenting performance metrics, resolving service issues,



and supporting client site visits.
- Own the monthly Bill of Lading (BOL) reconciliation and customer invoicing process across all 3 locations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives — process, layout, and technology (WMS/inventory systems) — to increase efficiency as volume grows.
- Assess capacity and staffing needs ahead of current account onboarding so growth doesn't outpace operational capability.
- Report monthly on occupancy, revenue per sq ft/pallet, labor cost as a % of revenue, and trucking margin per shunt.

Experience

- 5+ years in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations management, ideally with direct trucking/fleet oversight.
- Proven track record managing multi-site operations, including hiring, training, and performance management of warehouse staff.
- Strong financial acumen — comfortable owning budgets, invoicing cycles, cost tracking, and margin analysis.
- Familiarity with procurement practices including sourcing, pricing strategies, demand planning, and vendor/freight negotiations.
- Working knowledge of CVOR/DOT-type compliance and OHSA requirements.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software, with a track record of driving process improvement.
- Comfortable serving as the primary point of contact for client relationships and performance reporting.
