Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard area, ensuring that materials are organized and accessible, and supporting various warehouse operations. This role requires weekend and evening shifts and requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers efficiently.
- Organize and maintain the yard area, ensuring that all materials are stored properly.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as cranes, order pickers, and forklifts as needed.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer requests accurately and promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Skills





- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various warehouse equipment effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Experience in warehouse distribution processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking techniques and practices is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment tasks.
