The Gluer Machine Operator is responsible for executing their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI's business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

- Sets up and operates straight-line gluers, inner cell, 4-corner, and 6-corner gluers; and related peripheral/supporting equipment for manufacturing folded and glued cartons.
- Observes automatic feeding, folding, and gluing of box blanks to detect machine malfunctions.
- Inspects completed work to detect defects, verify conformance to work order specifications and adjust machinery to correct variations.
- Keeps daily time and materials usage reports and records information.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance
- Using hand tools, Disassembles machines to maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts.
- Assist temporary employees with understanding task assignments while - reinforcing housekeeping, safety, and Advance Paper Box core values.
- Review job tickets.
- Performs, understands, and follows make-ready as required which includes general setup of the gluer or window machine.
- Runs the job according to customers' specifications.




- Quality control of all gluing aspects including carton alignment, glue adhesion, and proper folding.
- Verifies and communicates product and work standards to the crew to execute production.
- Maintains equipment by performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, adjustments, repairs, and authorized modifications.
- Clean area around the gluer. Housekeeping is imperative.
- Possess a strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

- Previous machinery experience is an asset.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be capable of good attendance
