We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Marina Mechanic to join our Lake of Bays Marina team. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of marine vessels and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that boats and marina facilities operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently, providing an exceptional experience for boat owners and visitors alike.

Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on boats, engines, and marina equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately using mechanical knowledge and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to repair or replace faulty components.
- Conduct repairs on propulsion systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other mechanical parts of marine vessels.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for each vessel or piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with marina staff to coordinate repairs and ensure minimal disruption to marina operations.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in marine or automotive repair preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality repairs and maintenance.
- Prior experience working with marine engines or vessels is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid certification or licensing related to marine mechanics is advantageous but not required.
