About mddlmddl is a housing innovator and delivery organization working to accelerate middle housing across North American communities. We combine planning, policy, design, education, and technology to expand housing choice. Our work spans community development, policy innovation, program delivery through mddl U and mddl School, and hands-on support for community developers navigating the housing system.

Your OpportunityWe're looking for a creative, self-directed Marketing Intern (short-term contract position) to grow mddl's digital presence and online community. You'll create and repurpose content across our website, social channels, newsletters and podcast, and play a central role in building and nurturing our members-only online community on Circle. Working alongside our planning and policy teams, you'll turn complex housing concepts into content people actually want to engage with.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and nurture mddl's members-only online community on Circle, fostering engagement and conversation
- Create written content and repurpose it across multiple channels (website, social, newsletters)
- Support website updates, optimization and SEO
- Plan and execute social media content, contributing to overall strategy
- Write and build email newsletters
- Edit video content for social media and mddl U
- Manage podcast production and publishing workflows
- Collaborate with the planning and policy teams to translate housing data and research into clear, engaging content





Skills & Qualifications

- Currently registered in a post-secondary program in marketing, communications, media or a related field
- A strong writer who can adapt content across formats and channels
- Skilled in marketing strategy with an understanding of what performs on each platform
- Organized and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Curious about housing, cities and urban policy
- Assets: Figma, Adobe Suite, Video editing software, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, Webflow or website content management
