Role Description The Marketplace Operations & Trust Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Kigali, RW, responsible for the health, reliability, and integrity of Ziinga’s marketplace. This role oversees day-to-day marketplace operations, including listing quality control, verification workflows, dispute resolution, and enforcement of trust and safety policies. The individual will design and refine operational processes, collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve user flows, and develop frameworks to prevent misuse, fraud, and data inconsistencies.

They will monitor marketplace performance metrics,



conduct root-cause analyses, and implement continuous improvements that enhance user confidence and transaction efficiency. The role also includes coordinating with customer success, sales, and external partners to ensure a consistent, transparent, and trustworthy experience for all users.

- Operational excellence skills, including marketplace operations management, process design, and workflow optimization.
- Trust and safety capabilities, such as risk assessment, fraud detection, policy development, and compliance-minded decision-making.
- Analytical skills, including data analysis, performance monitoring, and ability to derive actionable insights from quantitative and qualitative inputs.
- Stakeholder collaboration skills, including cross-functional communication, relationship management with internal teams and external partners, and structured reporting.
- User-centric skills, including customer support oversight, conflict resolution, and maintaining high standards of service and transparency.
- Experience working in or with online marketplaces, SaaS platforms, or data-driven technology products; exposure to real estate or financial services is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple initiatives, and make informed decisions under time constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, economics, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
