We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from stress through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate effectively with clients, and a solid understanding of medical terminology to ensure a safe and effective treatment experience.
Duties
- Provide qualified massage therapy services tailored to individual client needs.
- Assess client conditions and discuss treatment options, ensuring informed consent.
- Utilize various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Document client treatments and progress accurately in client records.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their treatment plans and aftercare advice.
- Stay updated on industry trends and continue professional development through training.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous for understanding client needs and conditions.
- Valid state license or certification in massage therapy is required.
