We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently preparing OCTG pipe and accessories, utilizing various material handling equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. Your energetic approach and mechanical aptitude will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive shop setting, supporting our commitment to excellence in machined premium threading .
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, and order pickers to move materials within the shop.
- Load and unload shipments accurately, verifying quantities against shipping documents
- Prepare OCTG Steel pipe for threading using saw cutter, swaging unit and stress relieve unit.
- Perform end finish processes of phosphate and abrasive blast.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to handle products of varying sizes and weights
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Ensure proper traceability of product and maintain an understanding of all processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or material handling environments
- Valid forklift certification and experience.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues effectively
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout shifts
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and document control.
