Job Summary

We are seeking a to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, specifically with heavy equipment (telehandler, mini-excavator, skid steer) and small engines (concrete diesel and hydraulic saw, small tools, etc.). The mechanic will report directly to Stephen Gallant, lead mechanic. technical problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

TASK

- Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel and heavy-duty equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair small engine equipment.
- Perform cleaning, lubricating, and other maintenance work on a variety of construction equipment and tools including diesel, gas, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the repair process.
- Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay area.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when handling equipment or parts.
- Check equipment for damage when returned to the yard, report damage and fill out service tags for all returned equipment.
- Repair or replace worn, defective or broken parts.




- Assemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
- May be required to perform other duties around the shop including deliveries.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy duty/small engine repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Previous mechanic experience (5 year preferred)
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs or maintenance.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing to travel as this job includes onsite work on multiple worksites throughout NB and other provinces.
