Mechanical Designer The Mechanical Designer will work hand in hand with other team members, under the guidance and supervision of the Mechanical Engineering Manager. Develop drawings, preliminary layouts, and sketches utilizing computer-assisted design/drafting programs.
Set up drawing and work with internal and external designer and drafters. Review projects with supervisor and distribute to team resources. Survey and evaluate existing systems at job sites. Share project objectives with team.
Be responsible for the quality of deliverables,
costs, schedules, and project efficiencies. Ensure the proper execution of mechanical related projects under supervision of the supervisor. Develop drawings, preliminary layouts, and sketches utilizing computer-assisted design/drafting programs.
Minimum of 3-5 years of direct industry experience in the field of mechanical building services. Diploma / Degree from a mechanical building services technical program or an engineering program. Strong leadership qualities and mentorship skills.
Good working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems. Knowledge and understanding of the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects working in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines Must be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Applications.
