Role Description The Media Specialist internship is a hybrid role based in North York, ON, with a mix of in office activities and work-from-home tasks. In this role, the intern supports media planning and execution for events such as networking brunches, social gatherings, mentoring sessions, and the Leading Ladies Business Fair. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with the creation and scheduling of content across digital and new media platforms, coordinating marketing messages, and researching audience preferences and media trends.

The intern will help manage communication channels, monitor engagement,



and collaborate with the team to ensure consistent and impactful messaging. This internship offers hands-on experience in media and marketing within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Media Planning and Marketing to support event promotion and brand visibility.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to manage messaging across platforms and interact with diverse audiences.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with New Media and digital platforms to create and adapt content for social and online channels.
- Candidates should possess Research skills to analyze audience behavior, track campaign performance, and inform media strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Interest in community building, women-focused initiatives, and values-driven work environments.
- Proficiency with basic design or content tools (e.g., Canva, social media schedulers) is an asset.
- Current student or recent graduate in Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
