Perma-Pipe in Camrose, Alberta Canada is hiring Maintenance Technicians!

We are looking for skilled Maintenance Technicians to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on pipe coating equipment, material handling systems, and plant machinery. This role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, fabricating parts, reading blueprints and schematics, and assisting with new equipment installations. Success in this position requires strong technical ability, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.

This is an on-site position in Camrose, Alberta, and candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Required

Ability to commute - Camrose, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

Schedule - Monday to Friday with night shift rotation

- Weekends and overtime required as needed.

Must Be - Flexible to work wide-ranging shifts, weekends, or on-call assignments as required.

Shift - Must be able to work 10-hour shifts with the ability to stand/walk.

Pre-Employment - Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions

General Duties

- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on pipe coating equipment and controls, material handling and storage equipment, and other plant systems.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, and welders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set up of machinery.




- Ability to troubleshoot electrical related machine problems and work with maintenance and production team members to ensure up-time and limit downtime.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Ability to participate as needed in the installation of entirely new or relocated lines regarding piping, air equipment, water, and hydraulics.
- Work in a team environment and follow all health and safety regulations.
- Participate in safety/toolbox meetings.
- Participate in on-the-job training and any additional training.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in assigned work area.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications Qualifications &

- Skills

- Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, equipment, and procedures utilized with pipe
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions which are applicable to the work.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.

Physical Demands
- Raise/lower or move objects horizontally.
- Frequent wrist/hand motions.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Visual acuity required for accuracy and thoroughness of work.
- Standing/walking for more than 90% of shift, including long distances.
- Ability to work in extreme weather.

Work Environment
- Active industrial shop with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy machinery.
- Frequent use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses,



hearing protection, and dust masks as required.

- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
