Mobile Security Guard - Full Time - Niagara

Position: Full-Time Mobile Guard

Site: Various sites in Niagara Region

Hours: Continental Nights (2000-0800 hrs)

Schedule:

Week 1- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 2 - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Payrate: $19.50/hr.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Essential Job Functions:

- Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold…etc.)
- Always Maintain communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff.
- Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
- Ensures proper documentation is passed onto the Shift Leads/Dispatchers, client and Paladin leadership team
- Completing mobile patrols diligently
- Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
- Communicate any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
- Ensuring any deficiencies with the vehicle are reported to Paladin leadership team
- Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
- Always Maintain the highest standard of security, being professional in attitude, appearance and application.
- Represent Paladin Security and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation.
- Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws.
- Be observant and record all discrepancies,



deficiencies and safety hazards/ concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action either informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible.
- Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.

Requirements:

- Must hold a valid G-Class driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of total driving experience and be able to provide an clean driver’s abstract/record covering the past 3 years.
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Immunization Record including MMR. Varicella, Covid19 and 2 TB tests
- Able to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit test
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in security
- Must be able to drive for longer period of times
- Must be comfortable with a dashboard camera recording device installed and operating in the company vehicle at all times.
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Degree in Police Foundations, PSI, Criminology, or Border Services is an asset
- Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants without certifications may opt into Paladin's UOF/MOAB training before onboarding. Training is unpaid as a prerequisite, but Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
